two cups yams or sweet potatoes, mashed, 2 huge eggs, cup packed brown sugar, cup evaporated milk, cup softened butter, unsalted, three tablespoons heavy cream, teaspoon cinnamon, ground, teaspoon nutmeg, ground, teaspoon ginger, ground, teaspoon salt, 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked,
Preheat the oven to 400 Fahrenheit. . With any large mixing bowl, mix together mashed sweet potatoes, packed brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Ensure to mix all the ingredients entirely
Whisk together large eggs, heavy cream, and evaporated milk. Give the mixture a little mix until such time all the ingredients blend together until it gets thick and even.
Carefully put the 9-inch unbaked pie crust in your pie dish and gently dispense the the sweet potato mixture into your pie crust. Even the mixture out using a spatula or ladle.
Set into the oven and cook for about 10-15 minutes. Adjust heat afterwards to 350 F for 30 more minutes just until pie crust is nicely golden brown. You can insert a knife in the middle of your pie to check its doneness, when it slides out spotless then you’re done!
Take out from the oven and then allow it to cool for quite a few minutes. Slather with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream or the two.
